Text in original Preserved Tanks In Russia publication:

This T-34-76 is displayed on a plinth outside the STZ (Stalingrad Tractor Zavod) Tank Plant in the north of Volgograd. The inscription on the tank reads “For Stalingrad”, that on the plinth reads “Tank T-34. This monument is to the glory of the workers of the Volgograd Tractor Zavod in the years of the Great Patriotic War 1941-45”.
In addition there are also sixteen T-34-76 turrets around the city centre and along the riverbank. These pedestal-mounted turrets denote the front line on 19 November 1942, at the height of the battle. They are mainly the Model 1943 type, along with some Model 1941 STZ turrets from the local tank plant.
