This is an early prototype or pre-production version of the AMX-30. It is displayed surrounded by a low hedge on a roundabout near the entrance to the GIAT test track. (Source: FCCC, SED). A plate on the turret indicates that the turret serial number is “5” (and it was manufactured by CAFL).
