The Scuola Truppe Corazzate (Armoured Troops School), also sometimes referred to as Scuola di Cavalleria (Cavalry School), holds a collection of historic tanks in Lecce. The main base is Caserma Zappalà on Via Guglielmo Massaglia, but other bases include Caserma Nacci further along the same road (though known as Via Monteroni) and a sports ground on Via Giammatteo. It also has Caserma Floriani with what appear to be exercise areas and firing ranges on the coast south of Frigole.
