This is a late-production Ausf G. It spent most of 2009 in the Full museum (q.v.), where it was cosmetically restored. Its interior, including engine and gearbox, were beyond repair, most likely sabotaged by the vehicle’s crew. (Source: M. Foti).

Six examples of the Vickers 34 were bought by Switzerland in 1935. Nowadays two of them still survive, both in the SHP collection. This tank was stored in the outdoor Panzermuseum for a long time until the summer of 2009. It is currently undergoing restoration in the Swiss Army's workshops in Thun and is planned to be returned to running condition using parts from both tanks. A large number of used cartridges were found inside. (Source: M. Foti). As part of the restoration it has been partially dismantled, with its turret, idlers and tracks removed and the covers removed from the engine and transmission compartments. Its data plate states it was built at the Vickers-Armstrongs Elswick Works in August 1934.

Switzerland bought two FTs for trials in 1922 and acquired three more in 1939, but it is not known when this one was acquired. It used to be on display in the main display area, missing its gun. However it was fully restored during 2006-2009 and was back in running order on 29 May 2009. For the restoration, original parts were extensively used, but the transmission, radiator and some other small parts were replaced with newly-built parts. It is fitted with metal plate (rather than wood) inserts in the idler wheels. (Source: M. Foti, P.-O. Buan).

This Centurion is a prototype with diesel engine that was at some point evaluated by the Swiss army, but never entered service; its registration beginning with a zero indicates an experimental vehicle (source: M. Foti). The particular air cleaner units fitted appear to indicate that the engine is a Continental AVDS-1790 series engine (source: J. Daneri). Between 1973 and 1977 two Centurion tanks were modified in Switzerland with Detroit 12V71T power packs but due to various technical deficiencies the programme was not pursued further. In January 1982 the deputy director of the Federal Office for Defence Procurement visited the Israeli IMI weapons factory in Tel Aviv. The Israelis had achieved great success with modernised Centurions in the Yom Kippur War. As a result of the visit, in March 1983 two Israeli Centurion tanks arrived in Switzerland for troop testing and assessment at K + W Thun. The modernisations included a Teledyne Continental AVDS 1790-2AC engine, and improved gunnery and stabilisation systems. The plans to upgrade Swiss Centurions were, however, cancelled and Leopard II tanks were purchased instead. This Centurion is believed to have been one of these Israeli prototypes. The original source of the tank is unknown but it carries distinctive Swiss 8.05cm 1951 smoke dischargers; it is therefore presumed that it was a Swiss vehicle supplied to Israel and then returned after being upgraded. It is missing its side skirts.
