The Obiekt 277 was a further prototype development of the T-10 series, developed between 1957 and 1960. Similar in appearance to T-10 but larger, the Obiekt 277 was built on a special base, using IS-7 and T-10 components. The tank featured a new 130mm M-65 gun with a stabiliser system and a new M-850 V-12 diesel engine developing 1000hp. The prototype was field trialled was not developed further. It remains preserved today at the NIIBT museum at Kubinka.
