The experimental KV-1S-85 mounted the experimental 85mm S-31 gun in an original KV-1S turret. At the time the KV-1S-85 was under development, the larger turret used on the KV-85 and early IS tanks was already becoming available, so the KV-1S-85 did not progress beyond prototype stage.
