Model 1935
The Model 1935 was the initial production model BT-7, fitted with the standard BT-5 turret.
Model 1937
A new conical turret was adopted for the BT-7 in 1937, resulting in the BT-7 Model 1937 production model. At least one of these tanks reached Kummersdorf in Germany for evaluation but its fate is unknown. The final development of the BT-7 series was fitted with a V-2 diesel engine and designated BT-7M (A-8), of which 780 were produced.
