This particular T-40 is unusual in being armed with the 20mm ShVAK cannon; this weapon armed the T 30 prototype but the smaller 12.7 DShK HMG was more common on production models of the T-40 as the 20mm cannon was also required for use as an anti-aircraft weapon.
