Text in original Preserved Tanks In USA publication:
This Sherman is displayed with mannequins in the commander and driver hatches. It is an M4 small hatch hull with a T23 turret. On the turret there is an experimental AAI model 108 cupola from a T54/T54E2 turret. The hatch pivots to the side instead of up and back (source: J. Daneri/AFVNDB). The hatches and MG ball mount on the front glacis are not original as though the front had been cut open, perhaps for agricultural use. (Source: P-O Buan/USAHAVFR).
