This AVRE is based on a Centurion Mark 5 and is displayed by the end of the bridge in front of the Land Warfare Hall. Its label states “This exhibit served in the Gulf War of 1991 with 32 Regiment, Army Engineers and still bears its desert paint scheme. It was then used as a mobile observation post on a Ministry of Defence training range. It was donated to the Imperial War Museum in 1993”.
