This Sherman is displayed on a concrete ramp at the entrance to a French Army barracks. It is heavily rusted, both the tracks are broken and there are two penetration holes in the glacis plate. (Source and photo: M. Viucci). A plaque in front, translated, reads “To our comrades who died for the liberation of the town of Alençon”.
