Text in original Preserved Tanks In USA publication:
Though 250 T23s were produced late in World War II, there are very few still in existence. This one was acquired by the museum in August 1976 from Fort Drum, New York, where it had been on display outside a veterans’ club. It had been reconditioned in 1971 by 594th Maintenance Detachment at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.
