The original registration number of this M4 is probably the stamped number (3033584) so it would have been built by American Locomotive in July 1943. The foundry symbol cast into the turret indicates that the turret was made by General Steel. The unusual fixings and weld scars may indicate it was used for some kind of floatation tests. (Source: J.
