This memorial park surrounds a stone memorial and flagpoles; the memorial has a plaque that reads: “VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL. HONORING ALL VETS”. On one side of it there is a UH-1 Huey helicopter, on the other is a tank.

This tank sits on a concrete pad in the memorial park. In the TACOM Central Registry 8/2007 it is logged with American Legion Post 30 at 824 Central Avenue, New Rockford and its registration is given as 7537163 (source: N. Baumgardner). It appears to have serious suspension problems on the right side, where it is sagging noticeably at the front; possibly indicating a broken torsion bar or two (source: A. Adams). It is missing its turret rear stowage bin and has a data plate on the hull rear (source: M. Neukom).
It is an ex-Italian M47, and the data plate indicates that it was upgraded by ASTRA S.p.A. of Piacenza, Italy, on 15 February 1966; it reads:
