The Pisano Barracks and Cape Teulada on the coast of Sardinia are home to the Italian 1° Reggimento Corazzato (1st Armoured Regiment). The barracks and promontory form a large training area that is the responsibility of the Regiment, and includes training land, firing ranges with retractable targets, an urban training village, and a stretch of coastline for amphibious training. There are a number of ex-service armoured vehicles on display around the barracks and training area. Access to the barracks by the public is generally only on open days, known as “Caserme Aperta” (Open Barracks”) when the L3/38 can be seen and photographed (source: M. Foti).

The left side of this Sexton has been painted white and shows signs of small-calibre projectile damage, probably indicating that its left side is used as a target for small arms training.
