This ex-Iraqi Army T-55 tank was put on display outside the main entrance to the museum in August 2008; it had been captured by the Royal Engineers during the opening stages of the Gulf War in 2003 (source: Wikipedia). It arrived from the IWM at Duxford having previously been on display there.
