The Defence Storage and Distribution Agency (DSDA) is the storage and distribution arm of Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S). DSDA Ashchurch is the primary vehicle storage and distribution site for all types of armoured and soft skinned vehicles together with Royal Engineer bridges, boats and construction plants. The Centre is the only vehicle depot in the UK utilising Controlled Humidity Environments (CHE) for long-term vehicle storage. Strategically situated a mile from Junction 5 of the M5 with a rail link that is critical for moving these items to and from various ports across the UK, utilising the specialist skills of teams at DSDA Ashchurch to prepare and load large numbers of armoured and wheeled vehicles in secure areas. Receiving, storing maintaining, issuing and distributing associated equipment and stores. The site also has an integral Engineering facility capable of carrying out inspection, maintenance, repair and modification of all vehicles and equipment. DSDA Ashchurch supports and is actively involved the Whole Fleet Management Project, and is formally acting as sub-contract to commercial industry in support of Defence contracts.
