The Aviation Theme Park is an open air museum that includes a large collection of aircraft and related artefacts displayed around a large park. It was inaugurated on 2nd April 1995 and has more than fifty aircraft on display over a 100,000 square metre area. It is built on a sloping hillside surrounded by greenery. The park has many facilities including a refreshment area with bar and restaurant, a play area, a car park and a helicopter landing area. The museum’s collection has a large representation of Soviet and Eastern Bloc aircraft, plus some significant historical aircraft such as a Phantom, a Lockhead F-104, and an airplane once owned by Clark Gable. Among its many aircraft related exhibits it has a small collection of military vehicles.
