Officine di Cittadella SpA (Cittadella Workshop) was an Italian company involved in the renovation, maintenance and construction of railway carriages. It was founded in 1946 in order to work on the reconstruction and maintenance of both freight and passenger rail rolling stock, and the maintenance of armoured vehicles of the Italian Army. The latter included work on the engines, chassis and hulls of the M47, M60 and Leopard tanks, and the M113 armoured personnel carrier. After the 1970s it began to take orders for the design and construction of a range of carriages, coaches and dining cars, including for the Orient Express. Other activities included maintenance and repair of trucks. A progressive decrease of orders resulted in a crisis that led to the absorption of Officine di Cittadella by Officine Meccaniche della Stanga. In 1993 they were both finally incorporated in the Firema group. This group itself ran into financial difficulties during 2010, and went into special administration in August 2010.
