Since 2006 various disused vehicles of historic value at Armeemotorfahrzeugpark (‘Army Motor Vehicle Park’) have been brought together to be restored and preserved. The AMP collection includes vehicles from many decades, branches and uses, including wooden carts, heavy trucks, engineer vehicles, tanks and motorbikes. Many are in fully operational condition, including Saurer trucks from the early 20th Century with wooden spoked wheels and solid rubber tyres looking like new after restoration. There are many Swiss vehicles, from the makers Saurer and Berna, but also tanks. A special exhibit is the last remaining former marine patrol boat, with trailer and towing vehicle. It is equipped with a Hispano-Suiza motor, the product of Spanish-Swiss cooperation.
