This is the site of the American Legion Community and Bowling Center (Post #470), known as “Eckley E. Patch”, near Bath, PA. In front of the main building there is a small stone obelisk with plaques that state “ERECTED AND DEDICATED BY THE CITIZENS OF BATH IN HONOR OF THE MEN WHO FOUGHT IN THE WORLD WAR 1917-1918”. Beside this obelisk there are three stone monuments; the first has the crests of the US. Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy. The second states “AMERICAN LEGION, FOR GOD AND COUNTRY IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN ALL WARS, ECKLEY E PATCH, POST #470, BATH, PA. ERECTED 1976”. The third lists wars with US involvement from World War I to the Persian Gulf.
