Text in original Preserved Tanks In Italy publication:

This Sherman has been used in a number of movies (source: M. Foti). It was acquired from the Marconi workshops at Mantua, having left the Italian Army on 20th November 1973. It is in running order. When it was recovered it was missing its original 105mm howitzer and turret and so it was provided with another turret with a demilitarised 75mm gun; this turret appears to be fitted with a rear ventilator indicating it is a 105mm turret. The tank has been painted to represent a 1st US Armored Division vehicle as at Sicily, Anzio or Cassino. It was photographed at the Fiera del Gioco (Fair Game) event in Faenza in 2005.
