The Frederik Hendrik Kazerne was used by the Dutch Army until 2002 when it was closed (source: Limburgsejagers). It is now the home of the Santa Fe military vehicle association.
The aim of the Santa Fe association is primarily the repair and restoration of Allied World War 2 military vehicles that were associated with the liberation of Europe. A secondary aim is to keep alive the memory of the men and women who worked and fought during 1944 and 1945 to liberate Europe from occupation and oppression by the Nazis. (Source: Santa Fe Online).
Santa Fe regularly organises club meeting and military enactment events, including the Open Monumentendag Kazerne event at Blerick in 2009, an event at Horst in June 2010, and another at the Overloon Liberty Park museum in the summer of 2012.
