The Museum of Grodzisk is a regional museum presenting the history of Grodzisk and the surrounding area and is located in the building of the Łubienski Manor. The first Museum was created in 1937 at the initiative of the then mayor of the city Roman Mazurkiewicz. As a result of the war the museum was closed, and the collection lost. In 1967 two small rooms in the local cultural centre were used to found the current museum. Until his death in 1989 its director was Grodziski collector and photographer Edward Pawlowski; in the same year the museum suspended operations. In 1991, after moving to two rooms in a mansion gradually being repaired, the Łubienski museum resumed its activities, and the function of custodian was taken by Dariusz Matuszewski. Over the years, it gained more room in the restored mansion and was enriched with an open-air exhibition. Current exhibits include archaeological artefacts, ethnographic items (costumes and everyday objects), historical items, military items (weapons, badges, uniforms, and an outdoor exhibition of armoured vehicles), and brewing items.
