In parallel with the recent publication of Preserved Tanks in France: Third Edition, which has a strong emphasis on using GPS co-ordinates to mark preserved tank locations, a companion Point of Interest (POI) file for PTIF is being made available here. When downloaded to your car satnav it provides a new type of POI that you can select from. Your satnav can then indicate the nearest preserved tank to your location, or give you directions to any selected tank in Normandy.
